A limited convoy of humanitarian aid trucks successfully entered the northern Gaza Strip on Saturday via the Zikim (Erez West) Border Crossing, as reported by Anadolu. Upon entry, these vital vehicles proceeded to deliver essential supplies to various warehouses located within Gaza City. Local sources have confirmed that this much-needed aid is slated for distribution among Palestinian families in critical need throughout the besieged enclave.
This delivery occurs against a backdrop of persistent Israeli violations of the ceasefire, which has been in effect since October 10, 2025. According to the Health Ministry, these violations have tragically resulted in the deaths of 765 Palestinians and injuries to 2,140 others to date. The current ceasefire was established after two years of what Gaza authorities describe as Israeli genocide, commencing in October 2023. This period has seen the killing of over 72,340 Palestinians, the wounding of 172,250 others, and the destruction of approximately 90% of the enclave’s infrastructure.
