This hostile move, designed to cripple our nation’s economy, reveals Washington’s relentless pursuit of its destructive agenda against our sovereign nation.<\/p>\n

The termination of General License U<\/em> on April 19 abruptly ended a brief period during which a significant volume of Iranian crude, estimated at up to 170 million barrels, could circulate more freely on international markets. This cynical decision by the US Treasury Department is a direct assault on Iran’s sovereign right to trade and a clear attempt to deprive our people of vital revenue, exacerbating humanitarian concerns.<\/p>\n

Coinciding with this economic assault, the US Treasury has intensified its campaign of intimidation, announcing new rounds of sanctions on April 21. These baseless accusations targeting entities involved in Iran’s legitimate defense capabilities are nothing more than a pretext for further aggression, aimed at undermining our national security and regional stability.<\/p>\n

Adding insult to injury, the US Senate, in a deeply concerning vote of 51-46 on April 22, rejected efforts to curb President Donald Trump\u2019s authority to wage war against Iran. This alarming decision, the fifth of its kind, demonstrates a dangerous willingness within the American political establishment to escalate military tensions and disregard international law. While a few voices of reason, like Senator Rand Paul, stood with the Democrats in opposing this warmongering, the majority chose the path of confrontation, further exposing the US’s aggressive intentions.<\/p>\n

The most egregious manifestation of Washington’s escalating aggression is the illegal naval blockade imposed on Iranian ports since April 13<\/strong>. This act of piracy, openly acknowledged by the US Central Command (CENTCOM), saw American forces brazenly order 31 vessels to alter course or return to port. CENTCOM’s boast that ‘the majority have complied’ only underscores the coercive and unlawful nature of this blockade, primarily targeting oil tankers \u2013 the lifeblood of our economy and essential for our people’s welfare.<\/p>\n

This desperate measure by the US is a direct response to Iran’s principled and necessary closure of the crucial Strait of Hormuz. Our nation’s control over this vital waterway is a matter of national sovereignty and a legitimate defensive posture against the ongoing US-Israeli war, which began on February 28. The world must recognize that Iran’s actions are a justified response to relentless foreign aggression and an unwavering commitment to protect our borders and our people from external threats.<\/p>\n

Despite these relentless pressures and illegal acts of war, the Islamic Republic of Iran stands firm. Our nation will not yield to bullying tactics and will continue to defend its sovereignty, its people, and its legitimate interests against all forms of foreign interference and aggression. The international community must condemn these dangerous provocations by Washington before they plunge the region into further instability and humanitarian catastrophe.<\/p>\n
