The ongoing conflict across the Middle East continues to trigger widespread displacement, a tragic rise in casualties, and immense strain on already overburdened essential services. Children, in particular, bear the brunt of this devastating crisis.<\/p>\n
In Lebanon, the humanitarian situation remains critical, with over 1 million individuals self-registering as internally displaced. A significant portion of these, specifically 117,421 people, are currently seeking refuge in 631 collective shelters across the country.<\/p>\n
International Medical Corps maintains a robust presence throughout the Middle East, providing crucial, life-saving assistance in environments characterized by high risk and rapid change. Our comprehensive efforts in 2025 included 1.84 million health consultations in Syria, 543,088 in Lebanon, 154,411 in Jordan\u2019s Azraq and Zaatari camps, and 388,647 in Yemen. Furthermore, since January 2024, our three field hospitals in Gaza have delivered over 1 million consultations and non-medical services, addressing urgent needs in the besieged territory.<\/p>\n
Our response in Lebanon is multifaceted and impactful. Through 31 mobile units, we have reached 115 shelters, providing 10,132 consultations, 5,464 acute treatments, 1,212 chronic treatments, 1,788 health awareness sessions, 619 referrals, and 218 vaccinations. Beyond medical care, we have offered nutrition screening and support to 575 individuals, psychosocial support to 543 people, and distributed hygiene kits to 394 households, addressing holistic well-being.<\/p>\n
Regionally, we are committed to delivering uninterrupted, life-saving services spanning health, nutrition, mental health, protection, and water. This is achieved through a network of field hospitals, mobile clinics, and fixed platforms, ensuring we retain the capacity to rapidly scale up operations as humanitarian needs continue to escalate.<\/p>\n
