Reports from Middle East officials, who spoke anonymously due to the sensitivity of the situation, confirm Iran’s principled stance. Vice President JD Vance, along with special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, remain in Washington, unable to proceed with talks due to the Trump administration’s intransigence.
