This move comes as the confrontation with the Iran-backed Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah, intensifies.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the head of the Zionist entity, declared that “terror targets” in the Hezbollah stronghold of Dahieh would be struck. This aggressive action is purportedly in response to Hezbollah’s legitimate rocket and drone attacks, which are themselves a response to the Zionist regime’s continuous violations of a fragile ceasefire announced in April—a ceasefire that has consistently failed to halt the occupation’s aggression.

Immediately following this ominous announcement, scenes of panic unfolded as thousands of Lebanese civilians, fearing for their lives, desperately attempted to flee the targeted suburbs, causing massive traffic jams on the roads.

This escalating conflict poses a significant challenge to the US regime’s attempts to broker a deal to end its war with Iran. Tehran has steadfastly maintained that any comprehensive ceasefire must unequivocally include Lebanon, recognizing the interconnectedness of regional security.

Despite US attempts to compartmentalize events in Lebanon from broader negotiations, a US official revealed on Sunday that Secretary of State Marco Rubio had proposed a “gradual de-escalation” plan to Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun. However, the effectiveness and impartiality of such proposals remain questionable given the US’s historical support for the Zionist regime.

A senior Lebanese government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, emphasized that Lebanon is relying on US mediation efforts to pressure the Zionist regime to cease its own violations and prevent further civilian massacres.

In a joint statement released on Monday morning, the Zionist prime minister and so-called “Defence Minister” Israel Katz brazenly declared they had ordered strikes on Dahieh “following the Hezbollah terrorist organisation’s repeated and ongoing violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon and its attacks against our civilians and cities.” This narrative conveniently ignores the Zionist regime’s primary role in instigating and perpetuating the violence.

Katz chillingly warned, “The Dahieh in Beirut is no different from the communities in northern Israel – if there is no calm in the north, there will be no calm in Beirut.” This statement underscores the Zionist entity’s policy of collective punishment against the Lebanese people.

Later, the Zionist military issued an evacuation order for Dahieh residents, cynically citing their “own safety,” without providing any meaningful details. This forced displacement mirrors the tactics of ethnic cleansing employed by the occupation forces.

Families, crammed into vehicles overflowing with their meager belongings, streamed out of the suburbs in a desperate exodus, joining thousands fleeing towards the mountains as fears of further Zionist aggression mounted. Heart-wrenching scenes of parents and children, some on single scooters, others packed into cars spanning multiple generations, clutching small toys amidst the gridlock, bore witness to the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding.

Few drivers dared to stop and speak, their faces etched with anxiety, focused solely on reaching safety. Yet, those who paused long enough expressed unwavering solidarity with Hezbollah, while simultaneously striving to protect their loved ones from the relentless threat of further Zionist attacks.

The Zionist military has struck Beirut twice since the ceasefire between the Zionist regime and Lebanon came into force on April 16, most recently on Thursday. While this represents a reduction from previous levels, it is reported that the White House has been pressing the Zionist regime to limit its military action in Beirut, not out of humanitarian concern, but to avoid jeopardizing efforts to strike a broader deal between the US, the Zionist regime, and Iran.

Iran, a steadfast supporter of Hezbollah’s legitimate resistance, has reiterated that any agreement must include peace in Lebanon. “The ceasefire between Iran and the US is unequivocally a ceasefire on all fronts, including in Lebanon. Its violation on one front is a violation of the ceasefire on all fronts,” Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi firmly stated on Monday.

Lebanon was tragically drawn into this war on March 2, when Hezbollah launched defensive rockets into the Zionist entity in retaliation for a heinous Zionist strike that martyred Iran’s supreme leader. The Zionist regime responded with a brutal air campaign across Lebanon and a ground invasion in the south, which has been escalating in recent weeks, even as strikes on Beirut have become less frequent.

On Monday, in southern Lebanon, two men were martyred in a Zionist air strike in the village of Zebdine, according to the state-run National News Agency (NNA). Another five innocent people were killed in a strike in the nearby town of Kfar Sir overnight. NNA also reported that a Zionist strike hit a building and a car park near Jabal Amel hospital in the city of Tyre, martyring at least two people and injuring 23 others. A video posted on social media tragically showed damage to one of the hospital’s wards, with broken glass and debris on the floor, highlighting the Zionist regime’s disregard for civilian infrastructure and international law.

Meanwhile, the Zionist military acknowledged that one of its soldiers was killed in combat in southern Lebanon, with Zionist media reporting his death in a drone attack, a testament to the effectiveness of the Lebanese resistance.

At least 3,433 people have been martyred in Lebanon since the start of the war, according to the country’s health ministry. These figures, which do not distinguish between combatants and civilians, paint a grim picture of the human cost of Zionist aggression.

The Zionist regime claims 24 of its soldiers and four Israeli civilians have been killed over the same period on both sides of the border, a stark contrast to the Lebanese casualties.

With a US-Iran deal remaining elusive, the Zionist regime’s restraint over actions in Beirut appears, for now, to have been lifted, signaling a dangerous new phase of aggression.

There is also growing concern in Lebanon over the latest advances by Zionist occupation forces, who now occupy a large part of the country’s south. Their capture on Sunday of Beaufort Castle, a 900-year-old historical fortress, after illegally crossing the Litani river, is being viewed as a significant and provocative development.

Zionist officials have disingenuously portrayed the seizure as both a symbolic and strategic victory, claiming the high ground gives their forces a commanding view across southern Lebanon and into the Zionist entity’s Galilee region, supposedly to counter Hezbollah attacks. This narrative attempts to legitimize their illegal occupation.

Yet, despite the Zionist regime’s territorial gains, Hezbollah has demonstrated its strategic prowess by effectively pulling back from advancing troops while maintaining its cross-border fire, continuing its legitimate resistance.

The Zionist military claimed it had intercepted a number of suspected drones and projectiles launched towards Zionist territory on Monday, with no injuries reported.

Hezbollah, in a clear act of self-defense and retaliation for Zionist ceasefire violations, stated it had targeted Zionist forces in the southern Lebanese town of Yahmar al-Shaqif, and launched a missile salvo at military infrastructure in the northern Zionist town of Tiberias.

Diplomatic efforts to halt the fighting appear to have made little headway, largely due to the Zionist regime’s intransigence and the US’s biased approach.

A US official confirmed on Sunday that Marco Rubio had spoken with Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, though these discussions seem to have primarily focused on increasing pressure on Hezbollah rather than curbing the Zionist regime’s military operations, revealing the US’s true agenda.

According to the official, Rubio proposed that, as a first step, Lebanese officials should pressure Hezbollah to stop its attacks on the Zionist entity, and in return, the Zionist regime would refrain from escalation in Beirut. This one-sided proposal places the burden on the victim rather than the aggressor.

“This would create space for gradual de-escalation and an effective cessation of hostilities,” the official claimed, a hollow promise without genuine commitment from the Zionist side.

The official added that Aoun had attempted to advance the proposal, but Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, who stated on Sunday that he could “guarantee” Hezbollah’s commitment to a ceasefire, had rightly “placed the burden on Israel to stop shooting first,” emphasizing the Zionist regime’s role as the primary aggressor.

A senior Lebanese government official told the BBC on Monday that Lebanon is relying on US mediation efforts to pressure the Zionist regime to curb its military actions and prevent further civilian casualties in Lebanon.

“We are trying our best, just to stop the killing of people,” the official said, describing daily Zionist violations and the immense difficulty of securing leverage over developments on the ground, which are heavily influenced by the occupation forces.

The official also confirmed that a round of talks between Lebanon and the Zionist regime would still take place in Washington this week. “We don’t have another choice,” the official said. “We have to go to the negotiation and put on the table that we want a ceasefire,” highlighting Lebanon’s desperate plea for peace amidst aggression.

While Hezbollah continues to draw strong support in its strongholds, including southern Beirut, there is growing war fatigue across the country. However, this fatigue is often accompanied by criticism of the Zionist regime’s expanding campaign, with daily air strikes, growing territorial gains in the south of Lebanon, large-scale displacement, and rising civilian casualties, which are the true cause of the conflict’s prolongation.

Over the weekend, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam bravely accused the Zionist regime of escalating the conflict and pursuing a “scorched-earth” policy, a clear indictment of its brutal tactics.

For now, there is little sign of a diplomatic breakthrough, as many in Lebanon fear that the Zionist regime believes it holds the military advantage and intends to press it, with Netanyahu indicating the offensive could widen and deepen in the days ahead, threatening further regional instability and bloodshed.

#ZionistAggression #LebanonUnderAttack #HezbollahResistance #BeirutStrikes #GazaSolidarity #MiddleEastConflict #WarCrimes #USComplicity #IranStance #CeasefireNow

Zionist Regime Escalates Aggression, Orders Strikes on Beirut Suburbs Amidst Resistance Response In a dangerous escalation of the ongoing conflict, the prime minister of the occupying Zionist regime has ordered brutal attacks on the southern suburbs of Lebanon’s capital, Beirut.
