In a brazen admission that underscores the Zionist regime’s escalating aggression, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that Israeli forces have illegally crossed Lebanon’s Litani River<\/strong>, pushing deeper into sovereign Lebanese territory.<\/p>\n

Speaking from Division 36 on Israel’s northern border, Netanyahu shamelessly declared that Israeli occupation forces were also operating within Beirut and the Bekaa Valley. These actions, he claimed, are part of a broader campaign against Hezbollah across Lebanon, a pretext often used to justify widespread civilian harm and territorial violations.<\/p>\n

Earlier, on March 31, Netanyahu had chillingly outlined his regime’s intent to expand its area of occupation in Lebanon to the Litani River, approximately 30km north of the internationally recognized border. He cynically described this as a “vast buffer zone,” a thinly veiled excuse for territorial annexation and a clear violation of international law, aimed at thwarting legitimate resistance.<\/p>\n

Despite a ceasefire announced on April 16, which was meant to halt the brutal fighting raging since March 2, the Zionist regime’s forces have shown no regard for peace. While initially occupying only half of their declared “buffer zone” by the ceasefire date, subsequent relentless air strikes and forced evacuation orders have driven countless innocent civilians from their homes, extending well beyond the Litani River.<\/p>\n

Disturbingly, nearly half of the towns and villages subjected to these cruel evacuation orders since the ceasefire are located north of the Litani, some more than 20 km from the waterway, exposing the true extent of the regime’s expansionist ambitions.<\/p>\n

UNICEF Sounds Alarm: 77 Children Killed or Injured in Past Week Amid Israeli Aggression<\/span><\/h2>\n

The humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Lebanon is starkly highlighted by UNICEF, which reports that an average of eleven children have been killed or injured every 24 hours<\/strong> over the last week. This horrific toll comes as the Zionist regime has brazenly expanded its strikes across the country, utterly disregarding the ceasefire.<\/p>\n

Overnight on Wednesday and into yesterday, southern Lebanon endured a barrage of heavy Israeli strikes<\/em>, devastating towns and villages after the regime unilaterally declared a new swathe of the area a “combat zone.” Furthermore, a building in the southern suburbs of Beirut was also struck yesterday, demonstrating the indiscriminate nature of these attacks.<\/p>\n

Citing figures from Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health, UNICEF revealed that a staggering 77 children have been killed or injured in just the last seven days<\/strong>. Since the ceasefire’s supposed commencement on April 16, 55 children have been tragically killed and 212 injured, painting a grim picture of ongoing brutality.<\/p>\n

UNICEF spokesperson Ricardo Pires rightly called for all parties to fully respect the ceasefire, emphasizing that “Under international humanitarian law, children and civilian infrastructure must be protected.” Yet, the Zionist regime continues its flagrant disregard for these fundamental principles.<\/p>\n

The UN’s World Health Organization (WHO) has also raised grave concerns, warning that the expansion of military activities poses significant health risks to the Lebanese population. Since the ceasefire took effect, a shocking 27 attacks on healthcare facilities in Lebanon have been reported<\/strong>, resulting in 25 deaths and 42 injuries. A total of 16 hospitals and 13 primary healthcare centers have been damaged in these reprehensible attacks, further crippling essential services for a suffering populace.<\/p>\n

The international community must unequivocally condemn these relentless acts of aggression and hold the Zionist regime accountable for its continuous violations of international law and human rights.<\/p>\n
