The University of Central Florida\u2019s commencement speech went viral after real estate executive Gloria Caulfield was loudly booed for characterizing AI as the \u201cnext industrial revolution.\u201d Addressing graduates from the College of Arts and Humanities and Nicholson School of Communication and Media, her comments ignited frustration among students concerned about AI\u2019s potential to eliminate careers in the arts. Caulfield\u2019s attempt to continue, asking \u201cMay I finish?\u201d and referencing the pre-AI age, was met with temporary cheers before boos resumed as she highlighted AI\u2019s current capabilities.<\/p>\n
