In an unprecedented operation spanning the Middle East and North Africa, Interpol announced on Monday that law enforcement agencies have apprehended 201 individuals connected to sophisticated cross-border cybercrime networks.
\nDubbed “Operation Ramz,” this extensive coordinated effort involved 13 nations and successfully targeted and dismantled costly phishing, malware, and various cyber scam operations. Beyond the arrests, officials confiscated 53 servers and identified an additional 382 suspects, along with 3,867 victims.
\nParticipating authorities hailed from Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Tunisia, and the United Arab Emirates.
