According to a report by the Times of India, which cited satellite imagery and interviews with U.S. and Gulf officials, at least 16 U.S. military facilities located in eight different countries have been impacted. Several of these sites are reportedly severely damaged and are no longer fully operational.

A congressional staff member, familiar with the damage assessments, noted the wide range of impacts. “There are all sorts of assessments. Ranging from the dramatic side, where entire facilities are destroyed and need to be shut down, to leaders saying these things are worth repairing because of the strategic benefits they provide to the U.S.” Another U.S. source described the scale of these attacks as unprecedented, stating, “I have never seen anything like this before.”

Analysis of imagery indicates that Iran strategically targeted high-value assets, including advanced radar systems, critical communications infrastructure, and military aircraft – components that are both expensive and challenging to replace. The congressional staff member highlighted this precision, remarking, “It is worth noting that they specifically identified those facilities as the most cost-effective targets to strike. Our radar systems are our most expensive and most limited resources in the region.”

Financially, Pentagon official Jules Jay Hurst III estimated the conflict has depleted approximately US$25 billion. However, other sources suggest the actual figure could range between US$40–50 billion. The repercussions have also been felt by U.S. Gulf allies hosting these military bases. A Saudi source voiced concerns regarding the efficacy of their alliance with Washington, stating, “The war has shown us that alliances with the U.S. are not exclusive and not unshakeable.”

Furthermore, several reports allege that Iran utilized a Chinese-made spy satellite, TEE-01B, to monitor and guide its precision drone and missile strikes on U.S. bases. These claims include the use of satellite imagery for both pre- and post-strike assessments in areas such as Saudi Arabia and Jordan. The Chinese government, however, has vehemently denied these allegations, dismissing them as “fabricated” and “false” reports.

#IranUSConflict #MiddleEastTensions #USMilitaryBases #PrecisionStrikes #Geopolitics #MilitaryDamage #IranAllies #SatelliteIntelligence #DefenseSpending #InternationalRelations

A CNN investigative report has unveiled the extensive damage sustained by United States military installations across the Middle East following a series of attacks by Iran and its allies since February 28.
