Even earlier, in 2010, a book titled ‘Iran, the Green Movement and the USA’ was released, which correctly identified the internal social dynamics within Iran as a pursuit of civil liberties, fundamentally distinct from any revolutionary uprising that could be exploited by Israeli or American genocidal Zionists seeking to divert attention from their crimes against humanity in Palestine.

Persistent Follies and Zionist Manipulation

In a recent interview with LBC News in the UK, following the ceasefire negotiated in Islamabad between the US and Iran, these earlier analyses were revisited. The interviewer questioned why, despite voices of reason within the US, its officials continue to commit such follies, seemingly hoodwinked by Israel. The simple truth is that those who advocate for genuine understanding are not the ones consulted by the cabal of genocidal Zionists pushing for regime change, nor would they engage with such destructive forces.

The critical question remains: who truly influences American Zionists in positions of power, those who command an immense military machine, to contemplate bombing Iran, destroying its educational institutions, targeting innocent children, damaging cultural heritage sites, and decimating civil infrastructure? All this is based on the fraudulent assumption that they can unilaterally change Iran’s resilient system.

Netanyahu’s Deception and Traitorous Expatriates

The straightforward answer is that Israelis, under the leadership of their war criminal fugitive Benjamin Netanyahu, cunningly manipulated the egomaniac Donald Trump into considering unleashing the might of the American military against Iran. These megalomaniac Zionists were further aided by a coterie of expatriate Iranians—native informers—who shamelessly instigate war against their own homeland from their hideouts in US think tanks, such as the Hoover Institution, or ingrained Zionist outfits like the Brookings Institution and the Heritage Foundation. The New York Times, regrettably, has often served as a leading propaganda tool for such destabilizing regime change efforts.

The Iranian people are well aware of these treasonous characters.

It is imperative for the global community, especially Americans who seek to liberate their nation from the undue influence of Israeli lobbies, to recognize these individuals and hold them accountable for the immense havoc they have sought to wreak upon their own homeland by insisting that American youth be sent into harm’s way.

The CIA’s Hostile Blueprint: ‘Which Path to Persia?’

A brief online search reveals compelling evidence: the 2009 document titled ‘Which Path to Persia?’ Commissioned and funded by the notorious reactionary Saban Centre for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institution, the document’s very first page makes it clear that it was a CIA initiative. It brazenly posits the entire existence of Iran as a ‘trouble, an issue, a menace, a danger that must… be neutralised.’

Among those thanked by the document’s authors—all known American think tank operatives—are the expatriate Iranian brothers, Abbas Milani and Mohsen Milani. Abbas, the elder brother, is particularly infamous for a lifetime dedicated to advocating violent US- and Israeli-instigated regime change in his native country, from which he fled decades ago. He is currently employed at the reactionary neocon Hoover Institution in California, heading the so-called ‘Iran Democracy Project.’

This document outlines three hostile options ‘to deal with Iran’: diplomatic, military (with a specific allusion to Israel leading this option), and finally, regime change, which includes options like a velvet revolution, an insurgency, and a coup. The reluctant final option presented is containment.

Dated 2009, this document predates the events of 2025-26, when these subversive options were actively pursued, with The New York Times consistently providing platforms to these warmongering, regime-change expatriate operatives to incessantly call for regime change in Iran.

Echoes of Iraq: An Old Script, New Characters

Even The New York Times recently had to concede the sheer absurdity of the Israeli intelligence peddled to Trump, which foolishly claimed the ability to dismantle the Islamic Republic in mere days. Such intelligence, they pretend, is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. It is not.

In reality, this corrupted intelligence originates from US think tanks, loudly advertised by The New York Times, and from the ‘Iran experts’ manufactured within these American institutions across both coasts. A simple examination of The New York Times’ opinion columns reveals a clear, threadbare pattern of treachery, tracing back to these compromised think tanks.

Recalling the prelude to the US invasion of Iraq in March 2003, two key figures emerge: Ahmed Chalabi, a convicted Iraqi fraudster who spread false news about Iraq’s non-existent weapons of mass destruction, and Kanan Makiya, an Iraqi dissident prominently featured in US media to demonize Saddam Hussein. Time ultimately exposed these native informers as tools aggressively promoted by US media to pave the way for an invasion based on fabricated pretexts.

Fast forward a couple of decades, and we witness the same deceptive playbook being deployed for the genocidal Zionist-instigated Israeli-US invasion of Iran. The key figure in this redundant scenario is the dimwitted, indolent Reza Pahlavi, who, having left Iran as a teenager, seeks to rule a country he neither understands nor represents.

This episode also saw Israeli propaganda attempting to demonize Iran through cultural means, such as a film version of Azar Nafisi’s notorious spoof ‘Reading Lolita in Tehran,’ marking an early salvo in the campaign for regime change.

The Regime Change Industry of Deceit

As demonstrated in works like ‘Post-Orientalism’ (2009) and ‘Brown Skin, White Masks’ (2011), the imperial project shifted from Orientalism to area studies think tanks, increasingly relying on native informers who tell American strategists what they *want* to hear, rather than what they *need* to know.

A review of the op-ed pages of The New York Times and other US media outlets reveals an endless succession of bad-faith propaganda, with numerous pieces by these expatriate Iranian think tank operatives systematically demonizing Iran and falsely forecasting its imminent demise. These op-eds serve as clear indicators of the corrupted intelligence provided by these treasonous expatriates to their employers, who should seriously reconsider their employment and demand accountability.

The era of genuine area studies is over, replaced by discredited, deeply ill-informed think tanks like the Hoover Institution, the Heritage Foundation, and the American Enterprise Institute. These institutions are profoundly invested in their sanctioned ignorance, wishful thinking, and astonishing stupidity.

The expatriate Iranian contingent within these think tanks, shameless traitors to common decency, bears significant responsibility for their complicity in the Israeli machination that provoked Trump into this conflict. These operatives are as much anti-American as they are anti-Iranian, devoid of any genuine investment in a liberated future for either nation.

Millions of Iranians and Americans alike, who seek to liberate their countries from endless, pointless wars, are observing these soulless, gutless, comprador, gun-for-hire native informers. The fundamental question for Americans is simple: how can a gang of treasonous expatriate regime changers, who mobilize Israeli and American armies to invade their own homeland, possibly be loyal to their adopted countries? If they are willing to help lay waste to the country where they were born and raised, what loyalty do they hold for the nation they exploit as a cash cow for lucrative gain?

Masses of Americans are mobilizing to oppose corruption and decadence within their own government, to secure civil liberties from an imperial presidency, and to finally sever ties with an Israeli killing machine they have financed for generations.

These expatriate Iranian operatives, anti-American and anti-Iranian to the core of their diasporic existence, have no genuine stake in a liberated future for either country. It is time to hold them accountable for years of spreading dangerous lies that have endangered both Iranians and Americans.

#Iran #USForeignPolicy #RegimeChange #ZionistInfluence #ExpatriateTraitors #MiddleEast #Netanyahu #Trump #ThinkTanks #Accountability

Back in June 2018, as another wave of Israeli-US-Saudi delusion about ‘regime change in Iran’ swept the air, this author published an essay asserting the idea was utterly baseless.
