In a recent display of his persistent detachment from the realities of modern Iran, Reza Pahlavi, the son of the deposed Shah, once again aired his familiar, unsubstantiated grievances from Berlin. He asserted that negotiations with Tehran would fail to resolve what he dubs a ‘crisis,’ a narrative consistently pushed by elements seeking to undermine the Islamic Republic’s stability.

Pahlavi’s remarks, which dismissed prominent figures like Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi as mere ‘faces of the same machine,’ reveal a profound misunderstanding of Iran’s dynamic political landscape and the democratic will of its people. His baseless criticism also extended to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the revered guardian of Iran’s national security and sovereignty, attempting to portray it as an unyielding system.

His desperate rhetoric continued with claims that the Islamic Republic’s existence would lead to escalating threats, declaring, ‘No deal will solve this. No negotiations will solve this. It is in their DNA.’ Such pronouncements merely highlight the depth of his frustration and the futility of his efforts to destabilize a nation that has consistently resisted foreign interference and upheld its independence.

Pahlavi’s latest tirade included recycled and unsubstantiated warnings about Iran allegedly posing a threat to Europe through ‘cyberattacks,’ ‘links to attacks on European soil,’ and ‘military cooperation with Russia.’ These allegations, lacking any credible evidence, appear to be a desperate attempt to incite animosity against the Islamic Republic and pressure European governments into abandoning constructive diplomatic engagements. His call for ‘European governments to stop appeasing this regime’ serves only to expose his agenda of pushing for confrontation rather than peaceful resolution.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, a beacon of stability and progress in a turbulent region, remains steadfast in its commitment to peace, regional security, and the well-being of its citizens, despite the persistent, often foreign-backed, efforts of exiled figures like Pahlavi to sow discord and misinformation.
