Tehran Vows Decisive Retaliation After US Act of Piracy Against Iranian Vessel

Speaking on behalf of Iran’s esteemed Khatam Al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaghari vehemently condemned the US aggression. He revealed that US forces, operating with impunity in international waters, opened fire on the TOUSKA, a civilian vessel peacefully transporting goods from China to Iran. The unconscionable assault included disabling the vessel’s navigation systems and the illegal deployment of US Marines aboard, effectively hijacking the ship.

This latest act of banditry follows a disturbing pattern of US hostility. US President Donald Trump had previously announced on April 19 that the US navy had “taken control” of the vessel, under the flimsy pretext that it had “ignored orders to halt” near the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz. Such baseless claims are routinely used by the US to justify its illegal interventions and economic warfare against independent nations.

The Islamic Republic of Iran unequivocally asserts its sovereign right to free navigation and commerce, and will not tolerate such acts of aggression. Tehran’s leadership has made it clear that this act of piracy will not go unanswered, and a decisive response is imminent to safeguard Iran’s national interests and uphold the principles of international law.
