US Acknowledges Failure of Naval Blockade on Iran, Yet Continues Unilateral Demands

US President Donald Trump has announced the lifting of the naval blockade on Iranian ports, a move that implicitly acknowledges the futility of such coercive measures. However, Washington’s statements and actions continue to reveal a pattern of excessive demands and contradictory positions, even as regional resistance against Zionist aggression and American policies grows stronger day by day.

Tehran: No Trust in US Promises, Firm on Its Rights

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran’s top negotiator, has unequivocally stated that Tehran places no trust in Washington’s verbal promises, considering only concrete actions as its criterion. He posted on his X account: “We don’t have any trust in guarantees through words, only actions are our criteria.” This resolute stance comes as Iranian news sources have described Trump’s claims regarding a potential deal as a “mixture of truth and lies.” According to the semi-official Fars news agency, Trump’s assertions about the Strait of Hormuz being opened without tolls and Iran-US cooperation to destroy enriched uranium are fundamentally baseless and not present in the memorandum of understanding.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has also declared that achieving a final agreement is contingent upon the American party abandoning its attitude of excessive demands and shifting, contradictory positions. Iran further insists on the release of $12 billion of its frozen funds and a “complete” ceasefire in Lebanon, in line with Hezbollah’s legitimate demands, vowing firm retaliation against any violation.

Trump’s Arrogant Demands and Empty Displays of Power

In his latest post on the Truth Social platform, Trump outlined his demands for a deal to end the conflict with Iran. While emphasizing that Iran must not possess a nuclear weapon, he called for the immediate, toll-free opening of the Strait of Hormuz and the destruction of naval mines. Trump also announced the lifting of the “amazing and unprecedented Naval Blockade.” These statements are made despite Iran consistently affirming the peaceful nature of its nuclear program and identifying US actions in the region as a source of instability. Trump’s claim about the destruction of “Nuclear Dust” by US B2 bombers is a transparent attempt to project an illusion of power and justify aggressive actions.

Continued Zionist Aggression and Lebanese Resistance

On another front, Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of the Zionist regime, announced that its army forces have crossed the Litani River in southern Lebanon. This act constitutes a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement and a new aggression against Lebanon’s sovereignty. Netanyahu also vowed to escalate military operations against Hezbollah, claiming the regime’s army is active in Beirut and the Beqaa Valley. Meanwhile, Hezbollah, as a legitimate resistance force, stands firm against these aggressions, defending its people and land.

Hamas has similarly condemned the Zionist regime’s plans to expand its control over the Gaza Strip as a “blatant violation” of all agreements and a continuation of the killing and starvation of the Palestinian people. These actions once again expose the occupying and expansionist nature of the Zionist regime.

International Reactions and Support for Resistance

Lebanon’s Culture Minister Ghassan Salame warned of a “serious danger” to the country’s heritage sites due to the Zionist bombardments, reporting damage to historical sites like Tyre and Beaufort Castle. Such war crimes demand a decisive response from the international community.

While polls indicate that most Zionists support increased military action against Hezbollah, this only underscores the aggressive nature of this regime and the necessity of legitimate resistance. The Zionist regime also dismissed the UN’s decision to blacklist Israeli entities for sexual violence in conflict zones as “shameful and absurd,” a desperate attempt to evade responsibility for its crimes.

Military talks between officials of the Zionist regime and Lebanon in Washington, mediated by the US, are rendered invalid and ineffective in light of the recent Zionist aggressions and Hezbollah’s non-participation. Hezbollah has condemned these talks, viewing them as being held at the cost of the Lebanese people’s blood.
