Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence announced on Wednesday that the nation’s adversaries, primarily led by the United States and Israel, have faced military defeat and are now shifting their tactics to other forms of engagement, including “soft warfare” and economic pressure.
The ministry stated, “Since the inception of the revolution, Iran has been subjected to three imposed wars and numerous failed coup attempts, orchestrated by the Zionist regime with support from the United States, Britain, and certain Arab nations, all of which have ultimately failed.”
It further elaborated, “Having been vanquished on the military front, the enemy has now redirected its focus towards soft warfare, cognitive warfare, and social agitation. These efforts are centered on economic pressure, exploiting ethnic and religious divisions, terror, sabotage, the smuggling of arms and Starlink devices, cyberattacks, and hostile media operations.” The ministry underscored that any acts of unrest or espionage will be “strictly” prosecuted.
In a related development last month, Iranian police apprehended several individuals on suspicion of utilizing Starlink satellite devices to conduct espionage against Iran and transmit sensitive data to foreign intelligence agencies.
