Tehran, Shafaq News – Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Thursday vehemently denied international media reports suggesting that Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei had issued a formal directive for the nation’s highly enriched uranium to be kept within Iranian borders. The ministry labeled these claims as “entirely without foundation.”

Ministry spokesman Ismail Baqaei clarified that the widely circulated reports, which directly attributed such an instruction to Khamenei, were “incorrect.” He emphasized that Iran refrains from confirming speculation regarding ongoing discussions, including those pertaining to nuclear negotiations or uranium enrichment levels. Baqaei underscored that “accurate information is released exclusively through official channels.”

The spokesman further noted that current negotiations are primarily centered on “ending the war on all fronts, including Lebanon,” though he did not provide further details on the broader scope of these talks.
