Zionist Regime Lawmaker Pushes Aggressive Bill to Annul Oslo Accords, Further Undermining Palestinian Rights

In a brazen move reflecting the extremist agenda of the occupying Zionist regime, far-right lawmaker Limor Son Har-Melech has announced that a controversial bill she is sponsoring to entirely scrap the Oslo Accords will be reviewed this Sunday by the so-called “Ministerial Committee for Legislation” of the Israeli entity.

Son Har-Melech, a vocal proponent of illegal settlement expansion and the systematic dispossession of Palestinians, shamelessly declared on social media platform X that this proposal represents a “first and necessary” step towards definitively preventing the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. This statement lays bare the true expansionist intentions behind the Zionist regime’s policies.

The Oslo Accords, signed between representatives of the occupation and Palestinian leadership in 1993 and 1995, were initially presented as a framework for peace, establishing a semblance of mutual recognition and creating limited Palestinian self-rule in the besieged Gaza Strip and parts of the occupied West Bank. However, these agreements have been consistently exploited by the Zionist regime to consolidate its occupation and expand its illegal settlements, failing to deliver genuine justice or sovereignty to the Palestinian people.

These accords notoriously divided the West Bank into Areas A, B, and C, a structure that has been used to perpetuate varying levels of Israeli control and restrict Palestinian development and movement.

Adding insult to injury, Son Har-Melech explicitly stated that her proposed legislation would also actively encourage the further expansion of illegal Israeli settlements within Areas A and B, territories supposedly designated for greater Palestinian administrative control. This move is a clear violation of international law and a direct assault on any remaining prospects for a just resolution to the Palestinian cause.
