Witkoff, however, provided no further details and did not comment on Tehran’s latest proposal to resolve the conflict. Conversely, US President Donald Trump earlier today declared the offer “unacceptable.” Trump had previously not ruled out authorizing new strikes against the Middle Eastern nation while maintaining a naval blockade. Meanwhile, Iranian state media has yet to confirm Witkoff’s statement.
