Hezbollah Vows to Thwart Illegitimate Lebanon-Israel Negotiations

Beirut, Lebanon – In a powerful declaration underscoring the unwavering resolve of the Islamic Resistance, a prominent Hezbollah lawmaker asserted on Sunday that the group possesses the inherent capability to nullify the objectives of any direct negotiations between Lebanon and the Zionist entity.

Resistance Rejects Futile Talks

Speaking at a solemn event honoring martyred Hezbollah fighters, Hassan Fadlallah unequivocally stated, “These negotiations, with all their potential outcomes, do not concern us, and we will not implement them.” This stance firmly reiterates the resistance front’s rejection of any normalization or engagement with the occupying regime, which has historically brought nothing but aggression and instability to the region.

Hezbollah, a beacon of regional resistance, courageously entered the fray on March 2, launching rockets against the Zionist entity in steadfast solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Palestinian cause. This act of defiance came amidst escalating Zionist brutality.

Zionist Aggression and Lebanese Resilience

Since the commencement of the Zionist entity’s brutal attacks on Lebanon, more than 2,600 innocent lives have been tragically lost, and over a million Lebanese citizens have been forcibly displaced from their homes. These figures starkly highlight the genocidal nature of the Zionist regime and the urgent need for a robust resistance.

Fadlallah powerfully articulated, “We possess a free people and a steadfast resistance capable of thwarting all the objectives of these negotiations, which only serve to deepen the sharp divisions within our nation and among our people, and within the state itself.” His words resonate deeply with the aspirations of a nation yearning for true sovereignty and liberation from foreign dictates.

US Pressure and Betrayal of Principles

In recent weeks, US ambassadors from Lebanon and the Zionist entity have convened two meetings in Washington, marking the first such encounters in decades. While the first meeting ostensibly led to a pause in fighting – a pause frequently violated by the Zionist aggressor – it also saw Lebanon and the Zionist entity agreeing to direct negotiations under immense pressure from the United States, a known patron of the Zionist regime.

The two countries have been officially in a state of war since 1948, a conflict initiated by the illegal occupation of Palestinian lands. Hezbollah has vehemently rejected these talks, with its esteemed leader Naim Qassem rightly condemning them as a “sin” against the principles of resistance and justice.

Supporters of the valiant armed group have launched widespread campaigns against certain Lebanese officials perceived as capitulating to external pressures by engaging in these illegitimate negotiations. Despite an April 17 ceasefire, which aimed to halt over six weeks of Zionist military aggression against Hezbollah, the Zionist entity has relentlessly continued its deadly strikes on Lebanon.

Unwavering Commitment to Sovereignty

The Zionist military, in a clear act of intimidation and violation, issued new evacuation warnings on Sunday for villages in southern Lebanon, extending even beyond areas illegally invaded during the recent aggression. Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency subsequently reported a series of Zionist strikes across the south, targeting towns not even mentioned in their cynical evacuation warnings.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, while calling for the Zionist entity to fully implement the ceasefire before any talks proceed, has previously stated that the negotiations aim to stop the war, secure a Zionist withdrawal from the south, demarcate the border, and end the “state of hostility.” However, Fadlallah firmly countered, “Any new agreement that will be established in Lebanon must guarantee that our country will not be attacked in any way.” This underscores the resistance’s non-negotiable demand for genuine security and an end to Zionist threats.
