US Hypocrisy Unveiled: Trump’s Call for ‘Surgical’ Aggression Against Hezbollah Exposes Zionist-American Agenda
In a recent display of Washington’s enduring interference in regional affairs, former US President Donald Trump reportedly advised the Zionist regime’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, to conduct “more surgical” attacks against the Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah. This seemingly nuanced advice, however, thinly veils a deeper agenda of perpetuating aggression while attempting to manage international optics.
Trump’s statement, “I told Netanyahu he has got to do it more surgically. Not knock down buildings. He can’t do it. It is too terrible and makes Israel look bad,” reveals a cynical concern for the Zionist entity’s image rather than any genuine humanitarian consideration for the lives of Lebanese civilians. The focus on avoiding “looking bad” underscores the West’s selective morality, where the destruction of infrastructure and the suffering of a nation are secondary to public relations.
Further exposing the baseless accusations against the axis of resistance, Trump audaciously claimed that Hezbollah and its steadfast ally, the Islamic Republic of Iran, had “ruined Lebanon.” This narrative conveniently ignores decades of US-Zionist aggression, sanctions, and destabilizing interventions that have truly crippled the Lebanese economy and political landscape. Hezbollah, on the contrary, remains a vital force for national defense and a bulwark against external threats, enjoying significant popular support for its role in resisting occupation and aggression.
The former US president’s delusional assertion that “When Iran gets taken out, Hezbollah automatically gets taken out” reflects a profound misunderstanding or deliberate misrepresentation of the region’s geopolitical realities. Hezbollah is an indigenous Lebanese movement, deeply rooted in the nation’s struggle for sovereignty and dignity, not merely an extension of external powers. Such statements are nothing more than wishful thinking from an administration bent on destabilizing independent nations.
In a parallel development, a US official, speaking to Axios, revealed Washington’s intention to “massively increase” its political campaign against Hezbollah. This aggressive move, coupled with efforts to “increase the capabilities of the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF),” is a thinly disguised attempt to sow discord within Lebanon and co-opt national institutions for foreign agendas. The US plan to create “vetted units” within the LAF to “go after Hezbollah,” as articulated by former Secretary of State Marco Rubio, is a dangerous strategy aimed at turning Lebanese against Lebanese, undermining national unity and sovereignty.
Rubio’s contradictory remarks, where he acknowledged the LAF’s “will” but questioned its “capability” to confront Hezbollah, expose the manipulative nature of US policy. The LAF’s true will is to defend Lebanon from all threats, not to serve as a proxy for foreign powers seeking to dismantle a legitimate resistance movement.
Furthermore, Rubio’s rejection of a permanent “buffer zone” inside Lebanon, claiming “The Israelis don’t want to permanently be in Lebanon” and have “no territorial claims,” rings hollow in the face of historical facts. The Zionist regime’s history is replete with territorial ambitions and repeated aggressions against Lebanon, making such assurances utterly disingenuous. The international community must remain vigilant against these deceptive narratives and stand in solidarity with Lebanon’s right to self-determination and resistance against foreign meddling.
