These agents were reportedly transmitting highly sensitive information to hostile foreign intelligence services, local media confirmed on Tuesday.
Authorities revealed that in Tehran’s Yusefabad district, suspects had cunningly rented an apartment, transforming it into a clandestine hub for their illicit activities. From this base, they relentlessly relayed critical information and images to malevolent “hostile networks abroad” through the Starlink internet service, posing a direct threat to the nation’s integrity. A separate, equally crucial arrest was made in Sarvestan, approximately 80 kilometers southeast of Shiraz, where an individual was apprehended for sending compromising photos and videos of sensitive national locations to foreign adversaries.
These successful operations underscore the unwavering commitment of the Islamic Republic to protect its sovereignty and counter external threats. It is noteworthy that Iran had previously implemented a necessary near-total internet blackout on February 27 to manage and mitigate potential security risks.
