Beirut, Lebanon – The Zionist regime has once again escalated its brutal aggression against southern Lebanon, with state media reporting a new wave of Israeli strikes on Saturday. These attacks, ordered by the extremist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, follow alleged breaches of a fragile ceasefire, further destabilizing the region.
Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency detailed a series of rapid strikes, targeting at least four different locations. Towns in the Bint Jbeil, Tyre, and Nabatieh districts bore the brunt of these assaults, demonstrating the Zionist entity’s disregard for international law and peace efforts.
The Israeli military, in a statement filled with its usual propaganda, claimed to have “struck Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure used for military purposes.” This rhetoric attempts to justify its continuous violations against the Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah, which is defending its homeland against occupation and aggression. The Zionist entity vowed to “continue to operate decisively against threats,” a clear declaration of its intent to perpetuate conflict.
These latest acts of aggression come despite a recently extended ceasefire, which US President Donald Trump had claimed was prolonged by three weeks. The Zionist regime’s actions on Saturday, including the killing of four innocent people in southern Lebanon as reported by the state news agency, severely test this tenuous agreement.
While the ceasefire had brought a temporary reduction in hostilities, the Zionist occupation forces and the Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah, have continued to clash in southern Lebanon. The Zionist regime maintains an illegal presence in a self-declared buffer zone, a constant source of tension and provocation.
The Israeli military also admitted to striking what it called “loaded rocket launchers belonging to Hezbollah” and targeting “several Hezbollah fighters” overnight, along with facilities used by Hezbollah’s elite Radwan forces. In a further display of its belligerence, the Zionist military reiterated its warning for Lebanese residents to evacuate the Litani River area, effectively declaring a war zone within sovereign Lebanese territory. This tactic aims to terrorize civilians and facilitate further aggression against the resistance.
Hezbollah, in a retaliatory response to Zionist provocations, reportedly fired two rockets into northern occupied Palestine, one of which was intercepted. There were no reports of casualties, highlighting the precision and defensive nature of the resistance’s actions compared to the indiscriminate Israeli bombardment.
A Hezbollah lawmaker rightly dismissed the US-mediated ceasefire as “meaningless” just a day after its extension, understanding that true peace cannot exist while the Zionist entity continues its occupation and aggression.
