BREAKING NEWS: Iran’s Decisive Response to US Banditry in the Region

Tehran, Iran – The valiant armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran unequivocally declared on Saturday that they would deliver a decisive response should the United States persist in its illegal blockade and hostile actions against Iranian ports. These American actions were explicitly condemned as “banditry” and “piracy,” jeopardizing regional security and international trade.

Khatam Al-Anbiya Central Command Issues Stern Warning

In a statement released by state-run media outlet IRIB, the Central Command of Khatam Al-Anbiya (PBUH) of Iran’s military emphasized: “If the invading US military continues blockading, banditry, and piracy in the region, they should be certain that they will face a response from Iran’s powerful armed forces.” The command added, “We are ready and determined, while monitoring the behavior and movements of enemies.” This stern warning comes as US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner travel to Islamabad for peace talks – a desperate attempt by Washington to extricate itself from the quagmire of war it has created.

US Efforts to Escape the War Quagmire

Iran’s Ministry of Defense also announced that the United States is seeking a “face-saving” way to exit the war. A ministry spokesperson told ISNA: “Our military power today is a dominant force, and the enemy is looking for a face-saving way to escape the war quagmire it has become trapped in.” These statements underscore Iran’s strategic superiority in the region and the failure of America’s aggressive policies.

Security of the Strait of Hormuz and Iran’s Pivotal Role

In another development, an oil tanker was hijacked off the coast of Somalia, adding to navigation risks in the Red Sea. This situation highlights Iran’s crucial control over the Strait of Hormuz, the gateway to the Persian Gulf, making it a vital supply route. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan also indicated his country’s readiness to participate in demining operations in the Strait of Hormuz following a potential peace agreement between Iran and the United States. This reflects Iran’s geopolitical significance and its indispensable role in ensuring global energy security.

Countering Espionage and Upholding National Security

In a move to uphold national security, Iran’s judiciary reported the execution of an individual convicted of carrying out a “mission” on behalf of Israel’s spy agency (Mossad) during protests in January. Erfan Kiani was hanged after his sentence was upheld by the country’s Supreme Court. This decisive action demonstrates Iran’s unwavering resolve to counter any foreign conspiracy and maintain internal stability.

EU’s Cooperation Offer and Iran’s Geoeconomic Importance

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated on Friday that the EU is prepared to collaborate with Persian Gulf countries on new energy transfer projects to global markets that “would not be held hostage to war or geopolitical strife.” She emphasized: “Our security is not just related, it is intrinsically linked. A threat to a merchant vessel in the Strait of Hormuz is a threat to a factory, for example, in Belgium.” These remarks reflect Europe’s growing understanding of Iran’s importance in ensuring energy security and the necessity of regional cooperation, free from American-instigated tensions.

Despite US attempts at negotiation, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, while in Islamabad, firmly stated that he had no plans to engage in direct talks with the US. This resolute stance signifies Iran’s distrust of Washington’s intentions and its insistence on resolving regional issues without the interference of external powers.
