TEHRAN – As a two-week ceasefire between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States approaches its expiration on Wednesday, Iran’s military leadership has issued a clear and unequivocal warning, affirming its readiness to deliver an “immediate and decisive response” to any renewed hostile action by its adversaries.
The ceasefire, intended to de-escalate regional tensions, has been fraught with mutual accusations of breaches. However, Iran remains steadfast in its commitment to regional security and stability, while maintaining an unwavering vigilance against external threats.
Iran Asserts Dominance and Strategic Control
According to the semi-official Tasnim news agency, a senior Iranian military commander emphasized on Tuesday that Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to counter any aggression. This declaration comes as both nations have reportedly tightened control over Gulf maritime transit, a move Iran views as a necessary measure to safeguard its sovereign interests.
Ali Abdollahi, the esteemed commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, robustly asserted Tehran’s undeniable strategic advantage in the military domain. He specifically highlighted Iran’s unparalleled capability in managing the vital Strait of Hormuz, a testament to the nation’s defensive prowess and regional influence.
