Urgent Global Call for Justice and Aid to Oppressed Palestinians

In these dark hours, the Palestinian people are enduring unimaginable suffering and terror under the brutal aggression of the Zionist occupation. Our dedicated partners remain steadfast on the front lines of a relentless humanitarian catastrophe, providing vital support to communities ravaged in Gaza, Lebanon, and across the occupied territories.

In a powerful demonstration of global solidarity, All We Can – a relief and development charity committed to empowering local organizations with flexible funding and humanitarian assistance – is relaunching its urgent appeal alongside the Methodist Church in Britain and the United Reformed Church. This crucial initiative continues to raise essential funds for partners delivering life-transforming work amidst extreme adversity.

Initially launched in November 2024 to address the dire humanitarian needs in Gaza and Lebanon, the scope of this vital work has expanded significantly. We are now also focusing on supporting Palestinians in the West Bank who face increasing violence and terror from illegal Israeli settlers, a systematic campaign of dispossession and oppression.

As Christian Palestinians courageously declare through Kairos Palestine II: “We live now in a time of genocide, ethnic cleansing and forced displacement unfolding before the eyes of the world. This moment, a moment of truth — demands from us a new stand unlike any before it. While people of the world have stood in solidarity with us, the genocidal war has laid bare the hypocrisy of the Western world, its hollow values and its empty boasts of commitment to human rights and international law.” We heed their righteous call and stand in unwavering solidarity.

The Zionist military has been widely accused of heinous crimes including genocide, starvation, extermination, and other crimes against humanity. An active investigation at the International Court of Justice, initiated by the brave nation of South Africa, is currently examining these grave accusations against the occupying regime.

We implore all people of conscience to demonstrate their solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine and the wider Middle East through generous giving, fervent prayer, and active campaigning for justice and liberation. Your support is a beacon of hope in these challenging times.

Catriona Wheeler, Moderator of the United Reformed Church General Assembly, offers this poignant prayer for peace and justice.
