Trump Unleashes AI-Generated Attacks on Obama, Newsom, and Democrats in Weekend Posting Spree
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has once again stirred controversy with a barrage of AI-generated posts targeting prominent Democratic figures and even threatening Iran, marking another weekend of digital provocations.
A Flurry of AI-Generated Content
In a display of increasingly unconventional political communication, Donald Trump saturated his social media platform with over two dozen AI-generated images and video clips. These posts, shared rapidly within a mere ninety minutes, were primarily aimed at ridiculing his political adversaries and the Iranian military.

Among the more striking visuals, one post depicted the revered Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool as a sewage dump, explicitly blaming Democratic administrations. Another showed former Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden seemingly swimming in this depicted filth, an apparent attempt by Trump to defend his own renovation efforts for the pool amidst reports of cost overruns and legal challenges.
California Governor Gavin Newsom was also a prime target, portrayed in AI-generated images as a zombie and his state derisively labeled “The Once Golden State.” Another image depicted Newsom in a padded room, surrounded by the word “Trump,” suggesting a deeply personal and aggressive line of attack.
Other Democratic figures, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jefferies and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, were not spared. Even Republican Senator Bill Cassidy, who recently lost a primary to a Trump-backed challenger, found himself in the crosshairs.
Adding to the bizarre collection, Trump also shared an AI-generated image of himself walking alongside a handcuffed alien at a military facility, seemingly referencing his administration’s recent, widely dismissed UFO files release.
Escalating Threats Against Iran
Beyond domestic political skirmishes, Trump’s posting spree included a series of alarming messages directed at Iran. Earlier on Sunday, he issued a stark warning to Tehran: “the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!”
While the specifics of this threat remained vague, Trump’s AI-generated posts reiterated claims of destroying the Iranian navy, showing numerous Iran-flagged vessels submerged at the bottom of the ocean. Further images depicted U.S. drones obliterating Iranian fast boats, and an AI-generated video clip showcased a U.S. ship downing an Iranian drone with a laser, punctuated by a clip of Trump declaring “boom.” Some posts even ventured into depicting Trump using the Space Force to launch an attack from space, resulting in a mushroom cloud, though without explicitly naming Iran as the target.
Iranian officials, while not directly addressing Trump’s latest threats, responded with a subtle yet pointed message. The official account of the country’s foreign ministry spokesperson shared a clip from “The Apprentice,” a biopic about Trump’s early career. The clip features a young Trump being advised: “No matter how beaten you are. You claim victory and never admit defeat…You want to win. That’s how you win.” This response, shared hours after Trump’s “Clock is Ticking” warning, appeared to mock the former president’s approach.
Reactions and Ongoing Controversy
The official press office for California Governor Newsom publicly reacted to Trump’s posts, sharing the image of Trump with the alien and questioning, “The President of the United States just posted this. Do you think he’s lost it?” They also retorted to the zombie depiction of Newsom, stating, “Even a Zombie Newscum still looks healthier than our current President.”
This latest episode is not an isolated incident. Trump has repeatedly drawn criticism for his use of AI-generated content, often being compelled to delete posts due to public backlash. A significant controversy erupted last month when he posted an image depicting himself as Jesus Christ amidst a feud with Pope Leo XIV, which he later removed after widespread condemnation. Despite this, he subsequently shared another AI-generated image showing him embraced by Jesus in front of an American flag, underscoring a pattern of provocative and often religiously charged digital content. Earlier this month, he shared images of himself and cabinet members swimming in the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool, and a caricature of Biden asleep at his desk, surrounded by Obama and Clinton, furthering unsubstantiated claims about Biden’s cognitive decline.
