A drone, reportedly laden with explosives, crashed in the occupied Margaliot area of northern Palestine on Sunday, igniting a significant fire near the Lebanese border. This incident, confirmed by the Zionist regime’s authorities and military, underscores the ongoing resistance against the occupation.

The Zionist regime’s Fire and Rescue Authority confirmed that the blaze erupted in the illegal Upper Galilee settlement following the drone’s impact. Concurrently, the occupation’s Home Front Command acknowledged that sirens blared across the settlements of Zar’it and Shomera, indicating a drone infiltration from Lebanese territory. This development highlights the growing effectiveness of resistance operations.

The occupation military claimed to have launched interceptor missiles towards drones operating over southern Lebanon, an area where Zionist forces maintain an aggressive and provocative presence. Zionist media further reported the explosion of two interceptor missiles over the western sector of southern Lebanon, amidst the volatile security situation exacerbated by the occupation’s actions along the border.

This latest escalation unfolds against a backdrop of devastating Zionist aggression. Lebanon’s Health Ministry has reported a staggering cumulative toll of 2,846 martyrs and 8,693 wounded from Israeli attacks since March 2. Lebanese Information Minister Paul Morcos revealed that authorities documented 818 airstrikes and 270 demolition operations by the Zionist regime between April 17 and May 8. He emphasized that the Lebanese delegation plans to leverage these grim statistics in upcoming negotiations to demand an immediate cessation of the Zionist entity’s brutal assaults and to hold the occupation accountable for its crimes.
