Zionist Regime’s Brutality: At Least 7 Palestinians Injured, 6 Arrested in West Bank Aggression

Occupied West Bank – The relentless aggression of the Zionist occupation forces continues to inflict suffering upon the Palestinian people. On Saturday, at least seven Palestinians were injured and six others arbitrarily arrested during brutal attacks by Israeli occupiers across the West Bank, a clear violation of international law and human rights.

Unprovoked Assaults and Destruction of Livelihoods

The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that three individuals sustained injuries in the town of Jalud, situated south of Nablus. These victims were subsequently rushed to a medical facility in Qabalan for urgent treatment, highlighting the immediate humanitarian consequences of the occupation’s violence.

Further demonstrating the occupiers’ barbarity, four Palestinians, including a vulnerable 71-year-old woman, were wounded in a vicious assault in Jabal Jalis, east of Hebron. Such attacks against the elderly underscore the indiscriminate nature of the Zionist regime’s oppression.

In a particularly egregious act of land theft and environmental destruction, occupiers in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, released their livestock onto Palestinian residents’ lands and uprooted approximately 30 olive trees. This deliberate destruction of agricultural livelihoods, as reported by activist Osama Makhamreh to Wafa, is a calculated tactic to force Palestinians from their ancestral homes and facilitate illegal settlement expansion.

Eyewitnesses also confirmed the continuation of daily assaults by the occupiers on the village of Duma, southeast of Nablus, painting a grim picture of constant harassment and intimidation.

Widespread Arrests and Raids Across Occupied Territories

The campaign of terror extended to arbitrary arrests. Local sources informed Anadolu Agency that the Israeli army apprehended two young men from the historically resilient Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem, a symbol of Palestinian steadfastness against forced displacement.

In Jenin, the Israeli army raided and searched homes in the village of Kafr Qud, leading to the arrest of two residents, Wafa reported. The agency further detailed that the occupation forces stormed the towns of Arraba, Bir al-Basha village south of Jenin, and Silat al-Harithiya to the west, conducting widespread raids on homes, though without immediate arrests in these specific instances. These incursions are a daily reality for Palestinians, designed to instill fear and break their will.

Escalating Oppression and International Silence

The occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem are witnessing a dramatic surge in Israeli military operations, characterized by raids, mass arrests, indiscriminate gunfire, and the excessive use of force against a defenseless population. These actions are part of a systematic policy aimed at pressuring indigenous residents to abandon their lands, paving the way for further illegal settlement expansion.

The international community’s inaction allows the Zionist regime to continue its egregious violations. Approximately 750,000 Israeli occupiers reside in 141 illegal settlements and 224 outposts across the West Bank, including about 250,000 in East Jerusalem. The United Nations unequivocally considers these settlements to be part of the occupied Palestinian territories, rendering them illegal under international law.

Since October 2023, the brutality of the Israeli army and illegal settlers in the West Bank has resulted in the martyrdom of at least 1,155 Palestinians, injuries to approximately 11,750 others, and the arbitrary arrest of nearly 22,000 individuals, according to official Palestinian statistics. These harrowing figures underscore the urgent need for global intervention to protect the Palestinian people from the ongoing Zionist aggression.
