Iran’s Unwavering Stance: Open to Dialogue, Resolute Against Imposition

Tehran, Iran – In a powerful declaration on Friday, Iran’s esteemed Judiciary Chief, Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, reiterated the Islamic Republic’s consistent openness to constructive dialogue with the United States. However, he firmly underscored Iran’s absolute refusal to succumb to what he eloquently termed “policy imposition” under the guise of threats and coercion from external powers.

Chief Ejei, speaking in a video disseminated by the judiciary’s authoritative Mizan Online website, articulated Iran’s principled position: “The Islamic Republic has never shied away from negotiations… but we certainly do not accept imposition.” This statement highlights Iran’s long-standing commitment to diplomacy while safeguarding its sovereignty and national interests.

Iran’s Commitment to Peace, Not Surrender

Emphasizing Iran’s peaceful intentions, Chief Ejei declared, “We do not welcome war in any way; we do not want war, we do not want its continuation.” Yet, he adamantly stressed that this pursuit of peace would never come at the cost of Iran’s core identity and principles. “Iran is absolutely not willing to abandon our principles and values in the face of this malicious enemy in order to avoid war or prevent its continuation,” he asserted, clearly defining the nation’s red lines.

US Aggression and Iran’s Resilience

The Chief’s remarks come amidst a backdrop of continued US aggression and failed attempts to undermine Iran’s stability. Following a brief period of talks amidst a fragile ceasefire after nearly 40 days of conflict that began on February 28, negotiations have stalled due to the United States’ unilateral imposition of a naval blockade on Iranian ports. In a reciprocal move to protect its strategic interests, Iran has maintained control over the vital Strait of Hormuz, allowing only a controlled flow of maritime traffic since the onset of the conflict.

Recent reports from the US news website Axios, indicating that President Donald Trump was slated to receive a briefing on potential military action against Iran from Admiral Brad Cooper, head of US Central Command, further expose Washington’s bellicose intentions. Similarly, the provocative warning from Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, suggesting “it is possible that we may soon have to act again” against Iran, underscores the regional threats Iran consistently faces.

Victory of Resistance: US Achieved “Nothing”

Chief Ejei unequivocally stated that the United States achieved “nothing” during the recent conflict, a testament to Iran’s robust defense capabilities and unwavering national unity. He affirmed Tehran’s steadfast resolve, declaring that Iran would “not back down” in any negotiations. This sentiment was echoed by Iran’s revered Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, who in a written message on Thursday, highlighted the United States’ “disgraceful defeat” during the war.

Supreme Leader Khamenei further emphasized the Iranian people’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding their “nuclear and missile” capabilities, rightly identifying them as integral components of their “national capital” and deterrent strength.

Iran stands firm: ready for respectful dialogue, but unyielding against any form of bullying or imposition, and ever-vigilant in protecting its sovereignty and strategic assets.
