Echoing the Palestinian plea, Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullatif Al Zayani reiterated the Kingdom’s steadfast position on the imperative of implementing Security Council Resolution 2803. He affirmed its binding nature as a framework for ending the ongoing war and aggression against the Gaza Strip. Al Zayani stressed that true stability and peaceful coexistence in the region necessitate unwavering respect for Jerusalem’s legal and historical status, the protection of all religious holy sites, a categorical rejection of any attempts at forced displacement or demographic alteration, and an immediate halt to the illegal expansion of Zionist settlements in the West Bank.
Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, underscored that the Palestinian issue remains the core impediment to any genuine peace process in the Middle East. He issued a grave warning that without a just and comprehensive solution, lasting peace and security will remain elusive. Furthermore, during this same period, Zionist colonists and occupation forces brutally murdered 21 Palestinians, including six innocent children, and injured 310 others, among them 45 children. He also highlighted the alarming conditions in refugee camps across the northern West Bank and the worsening economic plight of Palestinians under occupation.
