WPP Acknowledges Middle East Uncertainties While Maintaining Financial Forecast
LONDON – April 28 – WPP, the prominent global advertising and marketing services group, has indicated that ongoing developments in the Middle East are contributing to near-term market uncertainty. Despite these regional challenges, the British conglomerate has reiterated its financial forecast for the first half of the year, anticipating a mid to high single-digit decline in like-for-like revenue less pass-through costs.
The company, headquartered in London, reported its first-quarter performance on Tuesday, revealing revenue less pass-through costs of 2.26 billion pounds (approximately $3.05 billion). This figure represents a 6.7% decrease on a like-for-like basis compared to the previous year. However, this result marginally surpassed the expectations of financial analysts, signaling a degree of resilience amidst a challenging economic landscape.
